Created to introduce paddlers to one of the North Carolina Piedmont's most engaging rivers, The Haw River Canoe & Kayak Co. features canoe and kayak rentals along three- to 11-mile segments of the Haw River.

For those who want to learn all they can about the river, guided canoe and kayak trips are also offered throughout the year, and canoe and kayak courses taught by experienced instructors allow both novice and experienced paddlers to enhance their skills.

Courses and trips have been offered in cooperation with several local organizations, including Elon University, Hawbridge School, the Haw River Assembly and Burlington Recreation & Parks.

Alaska adventures are offered through a sister company, Alaska Personal Journeys, operated by Joe Jacob and based in Clam Gulch, Alaska.
