| When local paddlers kept requsting some group to share expertise and provide a much-needed social outlet, The Haw River Canoe and Kayak Co. responded by creating the Haw River Paddle Club.
Since 2006, the club has united people who enjoy sharing their paddling insight with each other. Most own their boat, but all enjoy paddling with familiar faces.
Haw River Paddle Club sponsors events for its members throughout the year. Often, they begin with a paddle and finish with an informal meal and presentation on some paddling-related topic. All activities are announced to members via e-mail.
There's no membeship fee to join, though fees may be charged for some club activities, and you don't need to own a boat. For information, contact paddleclub@hawrivercanoe.com.
